About Us and What We Do:
1800DingGuy.com is a family owned and
operated business; the product of 17 years of doing repairs and
dealing with the public. For the past 17 years we have traveled
across the country repairing hail damage at auto body shops, dealers,
and paintless dent repair shops and saw a need for a network of
solid, honest businesses to help our customers get the best possible
service and repairs. We know sometimes a damaged vehicle is beyond
the capabilities of paintless dent repair so we wanted only reputable,
honest auto body businesses.
Paintless Dent Repair
Paintless dent repair is the process of
repairing dings and dents in many types of preformed sheet metals
(like your car). The repair process is achieved by using specially-
shaped tools to access the backside of the damaged area. Using
a reflection technique, a highly trained technician can press
and massage the damaged area back to its original shape without
harming the painted outer-finish.
Pricing
Prices shown are usually for dime to quarter
size dings. Dings larger than a half dollar coin and creases longer
than two inches cost $25.00 to $75.00 more per panel.

The Benefits of Using Paintless Dent Repair
Paintless dent repair has many benefits
for you and your vehicle. For you it saves time; an average repair
takes only a few hours. Hail damage can be repaired in only a
few days, not weeks. This means no rental car or less time in
one. The cost of paintless dent repair is typically 60-70% less
than repairs at a conventional body shop for dent and ding repair
and about 50-25% less for hail damage repairs. So you save money,
your vehicle gets to keep its resale and trade in value, and the
original paint will not be disturbed.
History
Paintless dent repair has been around in
some form or another for quite some time. Before the age of automobiles
metal smiths that worked with precious metals used a similar process
of straightening bent or dinged ornaments. As early as the 1920's,
German auto makers had highly skilled technicians called "ding
men" repair auto body imperfections right on the assembly lines.
Today
Paintless dent repair has become more
mainstream since the mid 1980's for several reasons:
Lighter
thinner sheet metal (better gas Mileage)
Flexible
2 stage paint (5 mph impact laws)
Paintless
Dent Repairs can be done in hours, not days, for dents and dings
Paintless
Dent Repairs can be done in one to two days, not weeks, for
hail damage
50%-70%
less expensive than conventional repainting methods
So, thinner metal and more flexible paint have made the process more user-friendly.
The Environment
Whenever paintless dent repair is used,
the environment is saved a considerable amount of waste. If you
take, for example, a hail damaged car. If that car is repaired
using older conventional methods, a lot of waste is created. The
panels may be cut out and thrown away. The solvents and paint
used create a considerable amount of waste also. We know and understand
that sometimes painting damaged vehicles is required but, if it
is not necessary, it helps save our planet a little bit at a time.
1800DingGuy.com is committed to helping the environment any way
we can.
Mobile Service
Mobile services for paintless dent repair
are limited by weather conditions in some regions. Because mobile
repairs usually need to be done outside, our mobile jobs are limited
unless an indoor space can be provided. We mainly service the
Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Denver, Rockport, Rocky Mountian regions
of Colorado, and northwards toward Cheyenne Wyoming.
